It is said that Makar Sankranti is also near. In such a situation, various types of sweets and tilkut made from sesame seeds have started being sold in the market. One such sweet made from sesame seeds in this area is Revdi. It is made and sold especially during winter days. Children like this the most. Shankar Sahni has been making and selling Revadi for the last 15 years.

Shankar Sahni told that to make Revdi, sugar is first cooked. After cooking sugar for a long time, it is then prepared like a fiber. After the fiber is ready, it is cooled slightly and made into small sizes. Then roasted white sesame seeds are pasted into it. He told that especially after the onset of cold, Revadi starts appearing in the market. Children like it the most because it is sweet.

Daily consumption up to 50 kg

During the conversation, Shankar Sahni told that he has been making and selling Revadi for the last 15 years. He told that in the initial phase, when we started it, we used to buy it from other places and then sell it. But, now we prepare it ourselves and also sell it ourselves. Shankar Sahni told that he sells Revdi at the rate of Rs 200 per kg. We sell it in the market at the per kg price, but when a child comes to our stall and asks for Revdi, we keep Revdi prepared separately for him. Every day 40 to 50 kg of Revdi is sold.
